really beautiful illustration and painting by Ben Shahn, one of those whose work I've unconsciously picked out (see above) and only recently linked up and put a name too. bridging the gap between thoughtful, conceptual work in commercial settings and politically and socially engaged projects - for example his series on sacco & vanzetti + links with diego riviera etc. great guy
